The ideal candidate is energetic, poised, enthusiastic, a team player, an up-and-comer, and has a can-do attitude. The MUA is responsible for providing gold standard makeup artistry services to our customers. They also provide effective and client-focused services in order to increase customer usage, retention and results. The MUA helps build the business through providing customized service upgrades; recommending, and selling products; actively promoting special events; pro-actively reaching out to former, current, and non-clients to help drive business, and ensuring that all clients are presented with optimal membership options.

The MUA would also be responsible for providing and maintaining exceptional customer service, generating sales, merchandising product and supporting the store management and organizational teams. The MUA will perform operational duties to run the retail store that include, but are not limited to, opening/closing, stocking, inventory, ensuring store security, overseeing safety and assisting with escalated customer issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE (and aren't limited to):

​

Customer Service Experience:

  • Provide an exceptional and consistent customer experience

  • Demonstrate, recommend and sell Mukha Beauty products

  • Maintain awareness of all store promotions

  • Drive to meet and exceed weekly sales and service goals

  • Use booking system for appointments, trainings and events

  • Capture and manage customer emails to grow future business

  • Answer all customer inquiries and share product information

  • Maintaining/managing the bi-monthly blog

  • Make our customers feel so special that when they leave our store they feel positive, informed and like a million bucks

 

Visual Standards and Operational Excellence:

  • Maintaining a sanitary work environment

  • Assist with completion of opening and closing checklists

  • Maintain company brand standards by ensuring a neat clean and organized sales floor, cash wrap and backroom

  • Follow all board safety, hygiene and sanitation requirements and procedures and maintain compliance at all times

  • Execute all visual directives and schematics to ensure the floor is set properly and timely

  • Conscience of all loss prevention procedures and inventory activities

  • Oversee and assist in managing the company's social media activities

  • Assist in training and developing your peers

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum of high school education or equivalent

  • Minimum of 1-3 years retail experience

  • Must have a current license of Cosmetology valid in the state of California

  • Steady hands / excellent vision / excellent hand-eye coordination

  • Ability to focus on small details continuously and perform tasks as required

  • Ability to multitask - answer phones, process payment & schedule appointments as needed

  • Strong knowledge of beauty and cosmetics

  • Strong knowledge and recent use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred

  • Strong knowledge of social media outlets including Instagram, Facebook, You Tube and Twitter

  • Love of people and selling with an ability and energy to meet and exceed sales goals

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-velocity environment

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights and weekends as needed

  • Must be a beauty enthusiast and a product junky

Job Type:

  • Part-time

  • Compensation: Commission OR Booth rental to start. Can move to Hourly + Performance Bonus after probationary period, if eligible.
